Overview

The Venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) is a carnivorous plant and catches its prey, mostly insects and spiders, with a "jaw"-like clamping end of the leaf.

The flytrap and flies are handmade from paper pulp and painted with acrylic paint.
The plant is approximately 11,5 wide and 7 cm high and the flies are about 2,5 cm big.
The frame measures 16,5 cm wide, 22 cm high and 4 cm deep.
The frame has a front and back made of glass so you can get a good view of the diorama from both sides.
On the back there is also a hook to hang it on your wall.

This item will be carefully wrapped and packaged before it will be shipped off.

Each and every one of my Mierpapier creations is lovingly sculpted from papermache and finished with quirky details.
Every piece is a true one-off—no molds, no copies, just pure imagination and hands-on craft.
Each bump, squiggle, and painted expression tells a tiny story, making a piece more than a decoration: it’s a character.
